Step 1
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together 250g (2 cups) all-purpose flour, 5g (1 tsp) baking soda, and 2g (1/2 tsp) salt.

In a large bowl, beat together 225g (1 cup) unsalted butter, 200g (1 cup) granulated sugar, and 200g (1 cup) brown sugar until creamy.

Beat in 2 large eggs and 5ml (1 tsp) vanilla extract.

Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.

Stir in 300g (2 cups) semisweet chocolate chips.

Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing about 5cm (2 inches) apart.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set.

Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
